Massage Therapy
Heather's interest in massage started in her teens, massaging friends and family. In her late 20's, Heather undertook the endeavour of returning to school and graduated from the renowned Sutherland-Chan School & Teaching Clinic in 2004. Heather has worked with a diverse range of clients and conditions including: professional athletes, sports injuries, pre / post & on-site sport massage, cancer patients & survivors, palliative care, bedridden, heart attack & stroke survivors, massage care directly following orthopedic and thoracic surgeries, individuals with Multiple Sclerosis, workplace & motor vehicle injuries, prenatal & postpartum massage as well as on-site labour support.
Heather had the unique experience to attend the 2009 Ironman Sport Medical Conference and learn from the leading Sport Medicine experts from around the globe. In conjunction with the conference, Heather volunteered in the Medical Tent for the 2009 Ironman World Championships where she worked with an elite team of Medical Professionals to care for athletes following the race.
Heather is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Massage Therapy Association.
Aquatics
Heather has worked in Recreation - Aquatics for 21 years and previously held positions as Aquatic Supervisor in the City of Mississauga and Town of Markham. Heather competed and officiated in National & Provincial Lifeguard & Lifesaving Sport Competitions for many years and continues to keep her feet wet teaching Lifeguard and First-Aid/CPR courses throughout the GTA. Heather holds over multiple aquatic certifications including:

- Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer - Swim

Sports
Heather is no stranger to sport injuries and training. She began running in grade 8 on the Cross Country Team and continues to run today. Heather completed her 1st full marathon in May of 2010 and has trained in the Martial Arts for 5 years, studying both Karate and Tai Chi.
